SHHH (She Hangs Her Head)!
Nov 15, 2018I was inspired to write a song called SHHH (She Hangs Her Head)! The song is based on a true story and the content is as relevant now as it was when I first penned it. For numerous reasons I never had the chance to publish this song until now, even though I have performed this song in various public spaces. This song has always been meaningful to me because I believe in the power of storytelling and it’s also a way for me to combat rape culture. This is a topic that makes people very uncomfortable and yet it is necessary to maintain an ongoing dialog as a way to build awareness.
